  1. Tom Macon is insane. Who could possibly love bacon that much? Tom, do you have a job? If my taxes are buying your bacon, I'm going to be really pissed off. And Tom, lose some weight before the bacon fat clogs your arteries and gives you a gosh-dern heart attack or stroke.

  2. Ron, shut the heck up. Bacon is like major nutritious. Who doesn't like bacon? If you don't like bacon, then why the #u@$ are you on Tom Macon's blog?

  4. For Tom Macon the attraction to bacon seems to go well beyond the realms of what is normal and begins to become something somewhat abnormal.

While there are many possible explanations of this bacon fixation I believe that two things in particular are most likely the cause of this.

The first of which is internal conflict within Tom Macon's psyche. It is likely that Tom is subconsciously dealing with his repressed sexual desires by fixating on bacon. As is often seen, abnormal behaviors are often caused by the defense mechanisms we use in dealing with the Oedipal forces that act on our psyche: for Tom Macon his sexual attraction to his mother is dealt with by displacing it onto the inanimate object of bacon. This allows him to fully express it, instead of repressing such desires.

Another likely source that may be contributing to this fixation is Tom Macon's self-image; he sees himself as a man and to promote and defend this image of his manliness he has subconsciously created a love for bacon. So every time he blogs about bacon and it's tastiness he's dealing with something that is reinforcing his projected image of himself as a manly type of man. Thus he's actively defending his manliness through the compulsion over sliced pork belly.

I strongly advise that he seek appropriate psychological help before this develops into something far worse.

OMG Tom!!! oink oink!!!, do you really live in a singlewide mobile home and eat pig flesh? Surely you can't be serious about loving Smithfield bacon this much? Maybe you need help? Our church has a vegan group that meets every tuesday at the Good Hope Baptist Temple on 2nd Street. You are more than welcome to attend. We focus on breaking habits that hurt ourselves and society. Eating meat hurts you and society. It takes about 7 lbs of grain to produce a single pound of pork bacon. Now does that make sense? Also, PETA can help. Go to: http://www.peta.org/features/15-reasons-not-to-eat-bacon.aspx and see 15 reasons not to eat bacon! Tom Macon, GET OFF THE BACON!
